Husqvarna 531300089 Professional Headband Hearing Protector Review

Approx Reading Time: 3 minutes

What’s the one thing you would eliminate from all your garden work?

Many people would have many different opinions, but I’d vote out ‘noise’ if it were an option.

From leaf blowers and lawn mowers to chainsaws, a whole bunch of yard care machines makes noise as if they were calling upon doomsday.

I hate it. My family and neighbors hate it even more. But let’s take family and neighbors out of the equation and focus on your needs.

To make sure that you aren’t troubled by the noise, you need a hearing protector such as the Husqvarna 531300089.

I’ve used it ever since it dawned on me that I should be taking better care of my hearing and haven’t looked back ever since.

Should you give it a whirl? Yes, and I’ll explain why in this review as well.

Standout product features

  • It is one of the best rated and lightweight headbands out there on the market
  • Comes with a universal size that should fit you like a glove
  • Comfortable padding that keeps the muffs airtight without sucking your ears inward
  • Offers a few different adjustability options to suit your desires
  • Looks cool!

How was my experience?

Oh! Like I was destined to find the headband. Apologies for the exaggeration, but I know how it is to deal with noise on a daily basis, and you have no idea how golden silence feels like. I got this piece after trying out a few different hearing protectors unsatisfactorily.

Right out of the box, I set it to max length to go over my burly head. I’m a big guy, so it’s natural, right? While the headband did feel a bit tight, I got used to it while blowing the leaves in my backyard. What can I say; the cushioning at the top and padding on the muff made it feel like I was hardly wearing anything.

I wore it for at least two hours and rarely ever felt the noise of the blower hitting my ears. Yes, I did have to readjust it a couple of times after the one-hour mark, but that was only to let my ears breathe. I even tested the product while using my extremely loud lawnmower, and it still didn’t disappoint.

I do, however, wish the material quality was better. Since the Husqvarna Professional Headband is made of plastic, there’s always a risk of it turning brittle over time. If it happens, I’ll be sure to update this post to let you guys know.

Pros

Pros
  • Incredibly comfortable and effective
  • Comes at a highly affordable price tag

Cons

Cons
  • Feels a little flimsy

Verdict

I can’t complain much about the build quality because of the price of this product. And as far as its effectiveness is concerned, I am genuinely impressed. Hey, I even wore it over a hat and work glasses, and it fit perfectly fine. Husqvarna is a trusted brand, and this headband just goes on to prove why.
